What Is the Where We Come To Map?

The Where we come to card on the Customer portal's Account page shows where your service provider has placed your account on the map: the site their engineers come to. Select Account in the menu and look under Account information. It is there so you can check that your service provider has you in the right place.

How do I see where the engineers come to in the Customer portal?

Select Account in the Customer portal menu and look at the Where we come to card under Account information: a pin on the map marks the place your service provider has recorded for your account. Under the map, a line reads The pin is on followed by your account's address, so you can check the two agree.

You can drag the map and zoom in or out to look around the pin, and pointing at the pin shows your account's name, but the map does nothing else: the pin cannot be selected or moved, and there is no street view, satellite view, full-screen or directions button.

The map shows only your own account's place. It does not show your service provider's engineers or where they are on their way to you; the times on Home and Visits are the times your service provider booked.

What should I do if the pin is in the wrong place?

If the pin on the Where we come to map in the Customer portal is in the wrong place, contact your service provider and tell them where it should be. You cannot move the pin yourself, because the location is kept by your service provider and is where their engineers are sent. The address in Account information is kept by them too.

Why is there no map on my Customer portal Account page?

The Where we come to card on the Customer portal's Account page always appears, but sometimes it has a message instead of a map:

  • The office has not put this account on the map yet. Tell them if this is not where we should be coming to. — your service provider has not yet placed your account on the map. The address in Account information is still where they come to; tell them if it is wrong.
  • Maps are not switched on for this site, so there is nothing to draw here. — your service provider's portal does not show maps. You do not need to do anything: the address in Account information is still where they come to, and you can tell them if it is wrong.
  • The map could not be loaded. The address below is still where we come to. — the map could not be loaded this time, for example because of a connection problem. Reload the page to try again.
  • Loading the map… — the map is on its way. If it stays for more than a few moments, reload the page.
